Connect your own domain

With your own domain, fans find you at your name, like yourname.com, instead of yourname.heduno.com. Your page stays live at its Heduno address the whole time you set it up.

Your own domain is part of Heduno Max, so you need Heduno Max to connect one, whether you already own it or want a new one. See Heduno Max.

Start

Open Custom web address from the card on your Overview, or from Settings › Heduno Max › Your web address. Then choose:

  • I own one, if you already have a domain from a provider such as GoDaddy, Namecheap or Cloudflare.
  • Get a new domain, if you want one. Tell us the domain you'd like and our support team will get back to you.

Not switched on for you yet? Own domains are being switched on for creators one by one. If you see Ask for my own domain, send us the domain you'd like and we'll get back to you.

Connect a domain you own

It takes about 5 minutes.

  1. Enter your domain and continue. We show you the records to add.
  2. Sign in where you hold your domain, and open its DNS settings. Pick your provider on the page for a step-by-step guide.
  3. Delete any other A or CNAME records with the same name.
  4. Add each record exactly as shown, with no extra spaces. If your provider asks for a TTL, leave it on the default.
  5. Back on Heduno, select Check connection.

Once we find your records, we get you a free security certificate. This usually takes a few minutes. Then you'll see Fans can now find you at your domain.

You can select I'll finish this later at any point. Your page keeps working at its Heduno address until the domain is connected.

If we can't see your records yet

This is normal if you've just added them. Changes can take up to 24 hours to show. Check the records match exactly, then select Check connection again. If it still doesn't work after a few hours, select Get help from support.

The www version of your domain

So fans who type www in front of your domain find you too, turn on forwarding (sometimes called Redirect) at your provider, as the page shows.

Keep your records in place

Leave the records saved at your provider. If they're removed, your page moves back to your Heduno address after 3 days.

Change or stop using your domain

  • Change domain takes you through the same steps for a new domain. Your current one keeps working until the new one is connected.
  • Stop using this address moves your page back to its Heduno address.

Afterwards, we show you the old records to tidy up. Delete them at your provider, then select Check again.

A domain we got for you

If Heduno registered your domain, Settings › Heduno Max shows when it expires, with a switch to renew it. To move it to another provider, select Ask support about a transfer.
