Turn on push notifications
Push notifications ping your phone or computer when fans message, tip, subscribe or buy, so you can reply faster. You turn them on for each browser or device you use.
Turn them on
- Go to Settings › Notifications.
- Under Push notifications, select Turn on.
- When your browser asks, select Allow.
You may also see a Turn on notifications prompt on your dashboard. Select it to do the same thing, or Maybe later.
On an iPhone or iPad? Install the dashboard to your Home Screen first, then turn notifications on from the installed app. See Install the dashboard as an app.
Choose what pings you
Each switch saves as soon as you press it.
| Group | Notification | What it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Fans | New subscribers | Someone subscribes |
| Fans | Messages | A fan messages you |
| Fans | Tips | A fan tips you |
| Fans | Purchases | Pay-to-unlock posts and store sales |
| Fans | Custom requests | A fan orders a custom request |
| Money | Payouts | Money is sent to your bank |
All of these are on until you switch them off.
Keep it private
- Discreet lock screen hides fan names, amounts and messages, so your lock screen shows only that something happened.
- Group busy moments sends one ping for a burst of messages or tips, instead of one each.
If notifications are blocked
If you see Notifications are blocked, your browser is stopping them. The page shows the steps for the browser you're using. For example:
- Chrome: click the icon left of the web address, turn on Notifications, then reload the page.
- Safari on a Mac: go to Safari › Settings › Websites › Notifications and set this site to Allow.
- iPhone: go to Settings › Notifications, choose the Heduno app, and turn on Allow Notifications.
- Android: press and hold the app icon, select App info › Notifications, and turn them on.
Push notifications don't change your emails. To choose those, see Choose which emails you get.
