Set who can message you and charge for messages
You decide which fans can message you, and whether they pay to do it. You set this in your message settings in Messages.
Two sets of rules
You set separate rules for:
- fans who haven't subscribed
- subscribers
The options
| Option | What it means |
|---|---|
| Message free | Fans can message you for free |
| Pay for each message | Fans pay for each message they send. They see the price before sending |
| Tip to unlock | Fans tip at least the amount you set to unlock messaging |
| Can't message you | Only subscribers can message you. Others are asked to subscribe |
Set your rules
- Go to Messages and open the message settings.
- Choose an option for fans who haven't subscribed.
- Choose an option for subscribers.
- If you chose a paid option, set your price or minimum tip.
You can always message fans
These rules only affect fans messaging you. You can always message any fan.
